  • Sand the stairs evenly to bare wood if necessary and remove all sanding dust thoroughly using a vacuum and a damp cloth.
  • Stir the wood stair vitrifier gently but thoroughly before use to ensure uniform consistency without introducing air bubbles.
  • Apply the first coat evenly using a roller or brush suitable for floor finishes, working in the direction of the wood grain.
  • Allow the first coat to dry for 2 to 4 hours depending on temperature and humidity conditions.
  • Lightly sand between coats if required to remove minor imperfections and improve adhesion, then remove dust completely.
  • Apply a second coat for enhanced protection and durability.
  • For very high-traffic staircases, apply a third coat after proper drying time.
  • Allow light foot traffic after approximately 24 hours, avoiding heavy use.
