  • Lightly sand the surface to smooth imperfections and improve varnish adhesion, then remove all sanding dust thoroughly.
  • Stir the wood stair varnish gently but thoroughly before use to ensure uniform consistency.
  • Apply a thin, even coat using a brush, roller, or suitable applicator, following the direction of the wood grain.
  • Avoid over-application to prevent runs, drips, or uneven drying.
  • Allow the first coat to dry for 4 to 6 hours depending on temperature and humidity conditions.
  • Lightly sand between coats if necessary, then apply a second coat for enhanced protection.
  • For very high-traffic staircases, apply a third coat after proper drying time.
  • Allow full curing for at least 48 hours before light foot traffic, and up to 7 days before heavy or regular use.
