Instructions

  • Ensure the pool substrate is structurally sound, stable, and fully cured. Concrete must be at least 28 days old before application. The surface must be clean, dry, and free from dust, laitance, grease, or loose particles.
  • Repair cracks, structural defects, or irregularities before starting. Any movement joints must be properly treated according to professional standards.
  • Lightly sand or mechanically prepare smooth concrete surfaces to improve mechanical adhesion. Remove all dust with a vacuum and clean thoroughly.
  • Apply the bonding primer evenly using a roller or brush. The primer promotes optimal adhesion between the substrate and the microcement system. Allow it to dry completely, typically 2 to 4 hours depending on environmental conditions.
  • Prepare the fine grain mortar with precise water dosage. The recommended water proportion is 30 to 35 percent of the powder weight. This corresponds to:
    • 3.0 to 3.5 liters of clean water for 10 kg of fine grain mortar.
    • 1.5 to 1.75 liters of clean water for 5 kg of mortar.
    • 300 to 350 milliliters of clean water for 1 kg of mortar.
      Accurate measurement is essential. Excess water may weaken the mortar, reduce mechanical strength, and compromise waterproof performance. Insufficient water may lead to poor workability and improper bonding.
  • Pour the measured water into a clean mixing bucket first. If color is required, thoroughly mix the selected pigment into the water before adding the mortar powder. This ensures uniform coloration throughout the mixture.
  • Gradually add the fine grain mortar powder into the water while mixing with a low-speed electric mixer operating at approximately 400 to 600 rpm. Mix for 2 to 3 minutes until achieving a smooth, homogeneous, lump-free consistency.
  • Allow the mixture to rest for about 1 minute, then remix briefly for 30 seconds. Do not add additional water after mixing, as this may negatively affect performance and create color inconsistencies.
  • Apply the first coat of fine grain mortar using a stainless steel trowel. Spread a thin, even layer of approximately 1 mm thickness. Maintain consistent pressure to ensure uniform coverage, especially on vertical pool walls.
  • Allow the first coat to dry for 6 to 8 hours depending on temperature and humidity levels.
  • Once dry, sand lightly using sandpaper with grain 120 to 180 to remove irregularities and improve intercoat adhesion. Remove all dust carefully before proceeding.
  • Prepare a second batch of mortar using exactly the same water ratio of 30 to 35 percent of powder weight to maintain color and structural consistency.
  • Apply the second coat in a thin layer of approximately 1 mm thickness. Ensure smooth and continuous application on all surfaces, including corners and steps.
  • Allow the second coat to dry completely, typically 12 to 24 hours depending on environmental conditions.
  • Sand the surface lightly with fine sandpaper (grain 180 to 220) to achieve a smooth finish. Thoroughly remove all dust.
  • Apply the pore filler evenly using a roller or flexible trowel. This step closes micro-pores and enhances waterproofing performance. Allow it to dry for 4 to 6 hours. Light sanding may be required after drying.
  • Apply the first coat of microcement varnish using a microfiber roller. Spread evenly and avoid pooling. Ensure complete coverage on horizontal and vertical surfaces.
  • Allow the first varnish coat to dry for 4 to 6 hours. Lightly sand with very fine sandpaper (grain 220 to 320) to promote adhesion between coats. Remove all dust carefully.
  • Apply a second coat of microcement varnish for enhanced waterproofing and chemical resistance. In fully submerged pool areas, a third coat is strongly recommended to maximize protection.
  • Allow the entire system to cure completely before filling the pool with water. A minimum curing period of 7 days is recommended to ensure full mechanical strength and chemical resistance.
  • Clean tools immediately after use with water before the product hardens.
  • Store all kit components tightly sealed in a dry place, protected from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight, to maintain product performance and longevity.
